Ich muss verrückt sein!

Ich habe mir ein absolutes Verbot über jegliche Neuanschaffungen von Garnen, Spinnstoff und all der gleichen Konsorten verordnet. (Wie lange? Es wird sich zeigen!) Derzeit habe ich, oder besser gesagt, bin ich immer noch dabei, all meine Schätze durch zu sehen und nach Projekten zurecht zu legen. Der pure Wahnsinn, ich könnte oder müsste täglich mindestens ein Pullover oder Jacke produzieren um dem Ganzen einmal Herr zu werden.

Jedenfalls fiel mir aus den geheimnisvollen Tiefen meines Stash, dieses schon etwas ältere wunderschöne Noro – Garn in die Hände.

I must be crazy!
I have an absolute ban on any new purchases of yarn, fibers, and everything else. (How long? Time will tell!) Currently I have, or rather, I'm still trying to check out all my treasures and divide them for different projects. The pure madness, I could or better should produced every day for at least a sweater or jacket to handle the whole stash.

Anyway from the mysterious depths from my stash this older and beautiful Noro-Yarn falls into my hands.

Es nennt sich "NADESHIKO" und hat eine Zusammensetzung von 40% Angora, 39% Wolle und 21% Seide. Ich hab keine Ahnung wie lange ich diese Wolle schon habe. Von der Material - Zusammensetzung muss es wohl irgendein Anno Tobak Vorläufer der "KOCHORAN" sein, aber viel viel weicher und geschmeidiger durch den höheren Anteil von Angora und Seide.

Nach ein paar Googler habe ich übrigens festgestellt, das "NADESHIKO" Prachtnelke bedeutet und man kann es sogar in Japanisch nachlesen :-))

It's called "NADESHIKO“ and has a composition of 40% angora, 39% wool and 21% silk. I have no idea how long I've had this wool in my stash. From the material - composition, it probably must be a predecessor from "KOCHORAN", but very much softer and smoother because of the higher proportion of angora and silk.

I have googled, and found out that the word "NADESHIKO" is a name of a flower. You also can read it in Japanese :-))

Daraus entstanden ist nun dieser Pulli.

From that yarn I've knit this sweater.

Nach der Mapro und kleinen Umrechnungen auf meine Größe ging das Stricken des Modells (mit 6er Nadeln) sehr flott voran. Die Teile hatte ich innerhalb ein paar Tagen recht schnell fertig. Jetzt kommt das große ABER, denn das Zusammennähen der Pulliteile, entpuppte sich für mich dann zu einer kleinen Herausforderung.

Ich glaube ich habe dafür länger gebraucht als für das eigentliche Stricken. Die Schwierigkeit bestand darin das es ja keine üblichen Nähte waren, wie bei einem Ottonormalteil, da die Kanten von einem nicht zentriertem Mittelteil ja von allen Himmelrichtungen daher kamen und irgendwie an die Armausschnitte und die Seitennähte verteilt werden mußten.

After making a gauche and a little conversions to my size to knitting the model (with needles 10 U.S.) it was easy and the progressing was very fast. Within a few days I was quickly finished with the parts. Now it comes the big BUT, the stitching of the sweater parts, turned out to be a little challenge for me.

I think I needed more time as the actual knitting. The difficulty was that I have indeed no ordinary seams, like a usually sweater. Because the edges of a not in the middle placed circle went in all directions from the sky. Accordingly the stitch must be adjusted at the seams from the side and the sleeves and top.

Der Aufwand und die Arbeit haben sich gelohnt. Das Pullichen passt wie angegossen. Benötigt habe ich an Wollmenge ca. 380 Gramm, und 400 Gramm habe ich davon noch übrig...... was mache ich denn nun davon? Grübel, grübel.......

The effort and the work has paid off. The sweater's fits like a glove. I needed almost 524 yards and still left over 576 yards, ...... what am I doing with the rest? I'll pore over....

Kleine Wickeljacke
Wesentlich einfacher, so zu sagen als Entspannungsübung zwischendurch, ist noch eine kleine schlichte und einfache Wickeljacke fertig geworden. Die Anleitung ist aus der Verena Frühjahr 2006/ Modell N°40. Verwendet habe ich Louisa Harding Yarns - Kimono Angora 70% Angora, 25% Wolle und 5% Nylon und noch ein Rest 80% Angora in Stahlgrau. Verstrickt mit 4er Nadeln und das Jäckchen hat ca. 180 Gramm.

A wrap jacket
Much easier, as a relaxation exercise in between, there is still finished a little simple wrap jacket.
The pattern is from the Verena spring 2006, / Model N ° 40. I used Louisa Harding Yarns - Kimono Angora 70% angora, 25% wool and 5% nylon and a remnant of 80% angora in steel gray. Knitting with needles 6 U.S. and the jacket has about 180 grams.


Alle Guten Dinge sind Drei
Noch in Arbeit ist diese Jacke. Die Vorlage dazu habe ich mir aus dem "Filati Magazin" N°31 / Modell 36 geholt. Der Schalkragen dieser Jacke habe ich etwas voluminöser als in der Anleitung vorgegeben aus gearbeitet.
Nun müssen nur noch die Ärmel gestrickt werden und dann kann ich mich weiter durch meinen Vorrat wühlen.

All good things come by threes
Now I'm working on this jacket. The idea I got out of the "Filati Magazine N°31" / Model 36. The shawl collar of this jacket, I've made more voluminous than in the pattern instructions.
Well one just has to be knitted the sleeves and then I can continue to dig through my stash.
